Five more Games, cloud saves and a fourth Launcher

Portal 2, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and three more now run on the Mac, Mac and iPhone apps can share a save, and LumaNX joins the Launchers.

Five more Games run on the Mac on 29 October 2026:

  • Team Sonic Racing, with menus at 60 fps and races at 30 fps, as on the Switch, tested through a Team Grand Prix on Wisp Circuit and the opening of Team Adventure.
  • Well Dweller at 60 fps, tested through the opening story, the first room and the pause menu.
  • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered at 60 fps, up from 30 on the Switch, tested through four whole races, including saving.
  • EA SPORTS FC 27 at 60 fps with update 1.8d.310c, up from 30 on the Switch, tested through a Classic Match to the 67th minute. It plays offline only.
  • Portal 2 at 60 fps, tested through the opening of Chapter 1.

That makes 109 tested Games. None of the five has been played on iPhone or iPad yet.

A Game's Mac app and iPhone app can now share one save through iCloud Drive. Choose the same iCloud Drive folder in both apps, and the newer save carries across when you switch devices; a save that gets replaced is kept as a backup first. See Settings.

A Switch Pro Controller or Joy-Con now has its face buttons mapped by their labels, on the Mac and on iPhone and iPad, so A and B, and X and Y, are no longer swapped. Other controllers keep the mapping by position.

Packing now needs Capstone 5 (version 6 is refused) and the zbic package, which Well Dweller's compressed code needs. The install command in the guide has both.

LumaNX is now one of the Launchers nxnative recommends, beside NX2Apple, NX Play and NxNative Launcher. Like the others, it is a community project, separate from nxnative.
