Privacy Policy
NxNative has no accounts, no comments and no forms, and it shows no ads. This page explains what is measured or stored when you visit, and by whom.
Analytics
NxNative measures visits with two analytics services at the same time. Both run only on the live site.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is run by Google. When you visit a page, it records:
- the pages you view, the page that sent you here, and when you visited;
- interactions it measures automatically: scrolling, clicks on links to other sites, file downloads, video engagement, site search and form interactions;
- events this site sends when you use a tool, copy a command or config, or follow a link to nxnative's GitHub;
- your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and your approximate location, which Google derives from your IP address.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) so it can tell repeat visits apart. NxNative keeps this data for 14 months. Google processes it under Google's Privacy Policy. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings, a content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on.
Plausible
Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool. NxNative runs its own copy of Plausible, so this data is not shared with Plausible's company. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data. It records the pages you view, the page that sent you here, your browser, operating system and device type, your country, and the same events listed above. Your IP address is used to count unique visitors without being stored.
NxNative uses analytics only to see which pages and tools people use. It does not sell this data or use it for advertising.
Hosting and email
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes the technical details of every request, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. Images are served from Cloudflare too.
If you email support@nxnative.net, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards your message to the owner's inbox. Your email address and message are used only to reply to you.
Stored in your browser
When you dismiss the unofficial-site notice, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage so the notice stays hidden. It never leaves your device.
Videos
Game pages may show a gameplay video from YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play. Once you do, the video plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) under Google's Privacy Policy.
Links to other sites
NxNative links to nxnative's GitHub, Launcher projects, Nintendo's store and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes and contact
This policy changes when the site changes what it measures. Questions about your privacy go to support@nxnative.net.
