No emulator needed: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle runs natively on the Apple chip. How nxnative compares with emulators
Running through nxnative

How Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle runs
Kingdom Battle passed a short check on the Mac: language selection, the title and campaign menus, creating a save file, the opening movie, the World 1-1 introduction, pausing and resuming, and walking the party along the first path to collect coins. The iPhone app is about 5 GB with all four add-on content packs, and it has not been tested on a device.
How it runs
Like its sequel Sparks of Hope, this game uses Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine, which reserves far more address space than an iPhone app can have. nxnative reduces those reservations to fit. A crash in the first level, caused by one of the game's blending effects, has also been fixed in nxnative.
The project developers stopped after this brief check, so battles have not been played yet, and long sessions still need testing to confirm the reduced memory holds.
Versions and add-on content
Tested on update 1.9.589692 with all four add-on content packs. Put the base game, the update and any add-on content in the same folder before you Pack.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 3D touch layout, with the camera on an undrawn right stick in the right third of the screen. Y skips a cutscene you have already seen.
Good to know
- The Donkey Kong add-on adventure has not been checked.
Known issues
- It has not yet been played on iPhone.
Packing command
Run this in your nxnative folder on the Build Mac. Replace the game folder and the keys path with your own. Add --platform mac-app to get a Mac app instead of an iPhone and iPad app.
