How 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim runs
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is playable on the iPhone, with a Packed app of about 5 GB. On the Mac, a new game gets through the prologue and into the first battle. The game runs on Vanillaware's own engine and needed no game-specific code patches.
How it runs
On an M4 Pro Mac, the game's audio-language menu ran for about 50 seconds with and without several of nxnative's GPU synchronisation shortcuts turned on. Both ways ran without errors or crashes. That check covered the menu only, not battles or other play.
Regional versions
The tested version is the main release with update 1.10. The Asian release (Japanese, Korean and Chinese) and the Japanese eShop release have different Title IDs and builds, and nxnative keeps separate profiles for them.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 2D touch layout. The layout button at the top centre switches layouts in game.

Run this in your nxnative folder on the Build Mac. Replace the game folder and the keys path with your own. Add --platform mac-app to get a Mac app instead of an iPhone and iPad app.

Which iPhone, iPad or Mac do I need to play 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim?
An iPhone 15 Pro or newer (A17 Pro chip or later) or an iPad with an M1 chip or later, on iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, or a Mac with Apple silicon. iPads with the A17 Pro chip (iPad mini) have the iPhone 15 Pro's chip but are untested by nxnative. Packing needs a Mac with macOS 26.6 or later and Xcode 27.1.
Is 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim included?
No. Neither this site nor nxnative includes any game. You Pack 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim from your own copy of the game, with keys dumped from your own Switch.
