How Ace Attorney Investigations Collection runs
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection plays on the iPhone at 60 fps, the same as on the Switch. When the project developers last published sizes, its Packed app came to about 7 GB. The game is built with Unity.
How it runs
On the Mac, it plays through the first-boot settings, the title, the first game's menus and the opening of Episode 1, up to the first Logic prompt, for 25 minutes without an error. Much of the groundwork was first done by a contributor in a fork of nxnative and then brought into nxnative.
The main fix was in file access: the game could not find its own asset catalogue at first, then crashed on a missing asset. nxnative now answers the file checks Unity makes the way the Switch does.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 2D touch layout. The layout button at the top centre switches layouts in game.
Good to know
- One geometry shader cannot be translated, because Metal has no way to express it.
- Tested with update 1.0.0.2.

Run this in your nxnative folder on the Build Mac. Replace the game folder and the keys path with your own. Add --platform mac-app to get a Mac app instead of an iPhone and iPad app.
