Six more Games, Metroid Prime Remastered and play on a TV

Pokémon Violet, Metroid Prime Remastered, DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake and three more now run on the Mac, iPhone and iPad apps can show the game on a TV, and Mac apps get cheats.

Six more Games run on the Mac on 30 October 2026:

  • Pokémon Violet at 30 fps, as on the Switch, on the same setup as Pokémon Scarlet. It needs the base version, 1.0.0.
  • Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble at 60 fps with update 2.20, tested through the story's opening and the tutorial island.
  • Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout DX at 30 fps with update 1.2.0, as on the Switch, tested through the opening story into the field on Kurken Island.
  • DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake at 60 fps, up from 30 on the Switch, tested with update 1.1.2 into the prologue.
  • Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition at 60 fps in its menus and battles, tested with update 1.0.1 through the first battle.
  • Metroid Prime Remastered at 60 fps, tested with the base game through the opening on the Frigate Orpheon.

That makes 115 tested Games. None of the six has been played on iPhone or iPad yet.

An iPhone or iPad app can now show the game on a TV or monitor, by cable or through Screen Mirroring to an Apple TV or AirPlay TV. The game fills the TV at up to 1080p and switches to docked mode, while the device keeps the controls. See Settings.

A Mac app now has a Cheats menu and panel that run Atmosphère-format cheat files for the game's version, with each cheat turned on or off by a click. If a cheated run crashes, the next start begins with every cheat off.

Mac apps now open on macOS 26.6 and later. Packed with Xcode 27.1, a Mac app could ask for a newer macOS than the one it was packed on. Packing needs Xcode 27.1 exactly, taken from Apple's developer downloads rather than the App Store's newer Xcode; Requirements says how to keep both.
