No emulator needed: Octopath Traveler II runs natively on the Apple chip. How nxnative compares with emulators

How Octopath Traveler II runs
Octopath Traveler II plays on the iPhone and, with update 1.1.1, runs at 60 fps instead of the 30 fps it has on the Switch. Its iPhone app came to about 5.9 GB in the last published sizes.
How it runs
The game's Switch settings cap it at 30 fps, while its PC and PlayStation versions run at 60. nxnative raises the cap to 60 while the game runs. The game moves by the time that has passed, so 30 and 60 fps runs of the same route reached the same scenes at the same times.
On the Mac, the initial settings, a new game, the traveler selection, Hikari's opening through his first battle and Castti's opening on the ship played at a steady 60 fps with sound.
If you would rather save battery, DM_FPS_TARGET=30 in the app's env.txt file keeps the game at its own 30 fps.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 3D touch layout, because the battle menu picks weapons with the D-pad. The game reads only the controller, not the touch screen. On the traveler selection, L and R step from one traveler to the next.
Good to know
- A rare crash can happen at the title screen: the project developers saw it twice in 87 boots on the Mac. The cause is not found yet.
- Tested with update 1.1.1. Other versions may behave differently.
Known issues
