How Mario Party Superstars runs

Mario Party Superstars plays on the Mac at 60 fps, with sound. Tested in a short gameplay check from a fresh save: Offline Play, the opening scene, the title, the plaza, then a Mario Party game on Yoshi's Tropical Island against computer players, through three turns with dice rolls, the Thwomp, Toadette's Star and a Boo. One minigame after turn 1 was played in each of two runs (Speed Hockey and Tube It or Lose It), and the game saved at the start of turn 2. No iPhone app has been built yet.

How it runs

The board held 60 fps throughout, with no crash. Early on Mario, the other players, the host and the plaza characters were drawn as flat grey silhouettes, and the game could stop on the way into a party. Both are fixed, and the fixes apply to every game.

On the Mac the game used about 2.2 GB of memory at the title and 2.7 GB on the board by turn 3.

The boards and minigames load as you play, and testing loaded only one board and two minigames, so most of them have not run yet.
