No emulator needed: Catherine: Full Body runs natively on the Apple chip. How nxnative compares with emulators

How Catherine: Full Body runs
Catherine: Full Body plays on the iPhone at 30 fps, the same frame rate as on the Switch. It is a large Game: when the project developers last published sizes, its Packed app came to about 14 GB.
How it runs
On the Mac, it runs through the ATLUS logo, the title, the puzzle type choice, the Golden Playhouse intro, the animated opening with sound and the first Nightmare stage with Vincent under control, over a six-minute run with no errors logged. The game stays at 30 fps and uses little of the Mac's CPU and GPU.
The anime intro no longer ends on a black screen that you had to skip: on the Mac it now plays to the end, and the game moves on to Golden Playhouse by itself.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 2D touch layout (left stick, face buttons, shoulders, minus and plus). The layout button at the top centre switches layouts in game, and the app remembers your choice. In game, the left stick moves Vincent and A grabs blocks. During a cutscene, plus pauses it, B resumes and Y skips.
Good to know
- At about 14 GB, the Packed app may be too big for some sideloading setups. nxnative's packing script can keep the game files out of the app with
--romfs separate; see the install guide. - The same black screen was reported on the iPhone after later story movies. Those movies have not been checked one by one since the fix.
- Tested with update 1.0.1a. Other versions may behave differently.

Packing command
Run this in your nxnative folder on the Build Mac. Replace the game folder and the keys path with your own. Add --platform mac-app to get a Mac app instead of an iPhone and iPad app.
