3D All-Stars, Brothership and Builders 2 run on the Mac
Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Mario & Luigi: Brothership and DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 run on the Mac, and Brothership can reach 120 fps.
Three more Games run on the Mac. None has been played on an iPhone or iPad yet.
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars plays Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, both at 30 fps, from one app with the collection's own menu. Super Mario Galaxy cannot run: it is built for 32-bit ARM, which Apple silicon cannot run. Its tile stays in the menu.
- Mario & Luigi: Brothership plays at 60 fps instead of 30, at its normal speed, through the opening and the first battle.
- DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 plays at 60 fps with update 1.7.3d, through character creation and the prison ship's opening.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership also offers 120 fps on the Mac. Choose it under Frame rate, on a screen that shows 120 Hz. When frames do not fit, the game drops to 60 for a while and keeps its real speed. See Settings.
Fixes players will notice:
- In Link's Awakening, saves made with an older nxnative no longer show every file as New Game after packing again.
- The packing script finds game files whose extension is in capitals, such as
.NSP. - Building a Mac app a second time onto a Mac OS Extended, exFAT or FAT drive no longer stops with an error.
- When the Mac app's prepared graphics archive cannot be made, the packing script now warns and finishes the app without it, instead of stopping.
