How Yoshi's Crafted World runs
Yoshi's Crafted World plays on the Mac into its first levels. The iPhone app, about 6.1 GB, has been built, but the project developers have not yet tested it on a device.
How it runs
From a fresh save on the Mac, testing got through the start screen, the play-style menu, the opening and the "How many Yoshis should go?" menu, then into the gameplay of Rail-Yard Run, with no errors over 12 minutes. The menus and opening run at 30 fps and the level at 60.
The game's handmade look depends on its textures, and getting those right took two fixes in nxnative. At first the 3D scene was black because the game writes its textures in a way nxnative did not pick up. Later the Yoshis' felt showed bright speckles and dark blotches whenever the game swapped in sharper textures. Both are resolved, and the second fix applies to every Game.
Controls
The Packed app starts in the 2D touch layout. The layout button at the top centre switches layouts in game.
Good to know
- The project developers have not yet checked how much memory the game needs on an iPhone.
- Tested with update 1.0.1. Other versions may behave differently.
Known issues
- The iPhone app is built but has not been tested on a device yet.
Packing command
Run this in your nxnative folder on the Build Mac. Replace the game folder and the keys path with your own. Add --platform mac-app to get a Mac app instead of an iPhone and iPad app.

Which iPhone, iPad or Mac do I need to play Yoshi's Crafted World?
An iPhone 15 Pro or newer (A17 Pro chip or later) or an iPad with an M1 chip or later, on iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, or a Mac with Apple silicon. iPads with the A17 Pro chip (iPad mini) have the iPhone 15 Pro's chip but are untested by nxnative. Packing needs a Mac with macOS 26.6 or later and Xcode 27.1.
Is Yoshi's Crafted World included?
No. Neither this site nor nxnative includes any game. You Pack Yoshi's Crafted World from your own copy of the game, with keys dumped from your own Switch.
Does online play work in Yoshi's Crafted World?
Online play in Yoshi's Crafted World is not confirmed to work, so do not count on it.
